S is for stop. Take a deep breath. Calm down and realize that what happened is in the past and cannot be changed. You are in a survival situation. Now you need to:
is for think. Your most useful survival tool is your brain. Use it!

O is for observe. Look around carefully and asses your situation, physical condition and your options.
P is for plan. Determine your immediate needs and begin to develop a plan to deal with the emergency. Conserve your energy. Follow your plan and adjust only when absolutely necessary.
